The challenge

Eight global sites ran different supplier and material masters and planned in isolation. Inventory was high, and the integration thesis depended on releasing it without putting supply at risk.

Role

Mohannad Gomaa led supply, manufacturing and commercial integration across the eight sites, owning the master-data, IBP and working-capital workstreams.

What we did

  1. Assessed the global IBP process across eight finished-dose, API and external manufacturing sites.
  2. Standardized supplier and material master data so the sites could be planned as one network.
  3. Recalibrated safety stock levels and forecast governance.
  4. Designed integrated business planning linking demand, supply and finance.
  5. Built a 12-month roadmap of inventory actions, with owners and gates.

Impact and results for the client

  • $70M of inventory savings identified against an $800M inventory base
  • Forecast accuracy up 18%
  • Safety stock and forecast governance recalibrated across eight sites
  • A 12-month savings roadmap with owners and gates
